Chamarajanagara Jain Temples

        Chamarajanagar is one of the districts of Karnataka located in the Southern part . Its is connected with both Bus and Train as mode of Transport . As it situated in the border of Karnataka it Connects both Kerala and Tamilnadu.  
       
 There are Two Jain Temples  in the Heart of the City
  1. Shree Vijaya Parshwanatha Jain Temple : The older temple which is built by rulers ,                It is situated near to the Old Bus Stand or older Private bus stand.                                                                                
  2. Shree Parshvanath Jain Temple  : This temple is recently reconstructed . It is situated in the Jain Street, Besides this Mahavir Bhavan which is the community hall.
  • From Railway station it takes about one Kilometer to reach either of the temples
  • From Government(KSRTC) or Private Bus Stand it takes around half Km to reach the temples
  • Both temples are in the walkable distance .
  • The priest or purohit is available near Jain temple situated in Jain Street.

      There is a Hill called as Chandranatha Swamy Betta  near to Moodulapura Village where once in year Jain's from chamarajanagar visit  and perform abhisheka - pooja after Ananthanoompi (in & around September every year). Chandranatha Swamy is curved on a rock. Paada of great saint is also in the bottom of the Hill. Their is a belief that once the puja is done then immediately it starts raining on the same day which may continue for many days
  • Small pond is situated in the foot of the Hill and rainwater is collected 
  • It is situated around 3 Kilometers from Chamarajanagar .
  • Vehicle will go near to the foot of the Hill
  • It does not have proper road .
  • From vehicle need to walk for a half Km though Rough road.

Train Connectivity :  Bangalore , Mysore  
Bus Connectivity : Buses are available from most parts of the karnataka, Tamilnadu and Kerala.
Mainly there are buses connecting from Mysore, Nanjangud, Gundlupet and Bangalore.

Mysore to Chamarajanagar by Bus : 2 hours approximately
Bangalore to Chamarajanagar by Bus : 5 hours approximately

Near By Jain Places to Visit :  Kelasuru , Harave , Maleyur , Kanakagiri , Umattur , Kudeeru , Eechaganahalli
